"Instead of keeping players so focused on the ever-increasing endgame levels all the time, I'd rather see Blizzard work on enriching the mid and low-level content and work on broadening the game rather than extending it."

But that's why companies CREATE expansions. They're not for the lowbies...they're to retain their higher level players so they don't get bored and jump ship.

Unfortunately, it maybe that the way people level though all of this content, keeping up with the PLAYERS takes all the development time. Who's left to re-tool the lowbie content? I agree that it would be nice to show low to mid levels some love on par with these end game folks, but when it comes time to allocate resources, it would be foolish to choose otherwise.

Honestly, Blizzard has lost sight of what separated them from the competition.

They are increasingly catering to Hanging ON to players, instead of breathing new life into their game and cycling in new players.

Lets think lowest terms here, if WoW is the Army..... and they put more R&D into developing new weapons and armor and capabilities to cater to their Higher Ranks, WHAT happens when those Higher Ranks Retire?

And they have NO Training for their New Recruits no M-16's and you can't go buy a uniform or weapon at the Exchange cause it just plain costs too much?

You will eventually make yourself obsolete. Which is what MMO's have consistently done since EQ.

Now instead of adding content that doesn't seem to have any relevance to the rest of the game world. ie Where does Arena or PVP Factor into the World of Warcraft . Or Adding expansions that increasing separate your lower lvls from your end gamers.

I would like to see Blizzard focus on Total Game Continuity. NOT just how eloquent Code Monkeys Login Page is, relative to itself.

But, More how pertinent Code Monkey's Page is to the REST of the World of Warcraft.

We are increasingly seeing pages that are written and look cool, while your on the page or in that ZONE, but when you navigate elsewhere, that cool area starts to make less and less sense and instead of an entertaining story that adds character, and story Development to the World, We get a lot of irrelevant content.

It's kind of like Blizzard opened this awesome club, and then kept opening more awesome clubs inside that club, But let the OUTSIDE signs and Original infrastructure go to hell, and kept focusing on building cooler stuff for the people already inside so that they never leave.

But, how are you gonna get more players interested in your club if your Signs and Bar and DJ and Dancefloor look like crap so you could build an UBER Champaign room in the back for your 25 high rollers?

Unfortunately, Blizzard hasn't a clue...their starting to believe all the hype thats written about them and some of that was written by them...My entire guild is moving to Age of Conan.....thats 152 members.. One of our biggest complaints is the 25 man instances, reduce them to 20, and get rid of Arena, if i wanted to play a first person shooter, i'd be playing Call of Duty 4, where in the original game's was arena match's.....

Right... Blizzard doesn't have a clue. And ten million people will wave goodbye to your 152, tears in our eyes.

People get so parochial about what is and isn't part of WoW, and what is or isn't the "core" of the game.

While it's true that it's the nature of online games to change over time, I'm also not thrilled about the increased focus on arena combat and PvE changes in the name of PvP balance.

Ok after read over this I not see noting new at all the same like BC but this time more raids and so on... I never found 10 friends in the game like my kara runs where all about loot and not about content.... I got tired of the raiding. And really not feel like other 10 levels of grinding. There is no release date anywhere in there press event and last thing WoW need now is a deadknight over run with L55 noobs that never seen outland making deadknights sorry I pass.

"Those poor guys at Funcom... The Age of Conan release date was set for a month after Blizzard's big Sunwell patch -- it looked like they were in the clear, and they could ride people's boredom all the way to September and maybe even hold them. And then, Blizzard drops a bomb like this"

Yeah they pretty much say everything we already known and that there is noting really new and also make clear there is no release day yet....... and that warhamer and conan going to kick there ass by listen to players for ones and less kids (please aoc kick out the kids so soon they where found out)

Never read so much contrived shite in a long time, your experiances of bringing in a new class is quite laughable.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion. We'll have to wait and see what happens.

Well, I've played at least 3 popular games that have released classes on top of the normal game and at least one that gave free mid level classes when you had reached level cap.

And in my experience (which is now around 11 years in MMO's) it balances out very, very quickly, yes people at the start will roll one to see what it's like but it rapidly equalizes.

I find that the fotm syndrome is worse (flavour of the month) where you see hundreds of re-rolls to the so-call most powerfully perceived class of the month ... warlocks/druids in wow for example, was much more of a pain to the game balance.

I enjoy this game as much as any other mmo I've played, but if history is any indication of how the DK will change the face of the game, look no further than SWG when everyone was able to make a jedi. I just hope 10 and 25 man teams of DK can raid well together...cause that is what we are looking at.

*Sigh*
There it will not be a 5:1 DK to another class ratio.
For the first month of the game everyone will TRY a deathknight and then go back to their main. Just like Shamans and Pallys.
I play Alliance and when the shamans were announced to us EVERYONE was making one... Now there is a clean balance between them. And Im sure the same thing happened to the horde.
The DK's will be popular for a month and thats it.
Also Death Knights will NOT be overpowered. Blizzard them self said that they were re-balancing every class in the game.
