I'm really excited about Ambulation. My biggest hope is actually eavesdropping through EVE Voice - if players' conversations are vocal and live, I think that could really help with the atmosphere.

To be honest, everything about Ambulation makes me drool like a toddler. It'll add a whole dimension to it.

CK is very very excited!

Yes, this would (arguably) finally bring EVE into the MMO sphere proper, there's just something oddly sterile about the experience of living from ship to ship to ship without any notable passage of time or experience, just bar-hopping through stations and gates to get to your destination.

the same kind of thing worked in zork as you walked from one text room to another, but there's only so many times you get eaten by a grue before apathy, peversion or resentment kicks in.

TTH has got a great video with Ben Mathis, Character Artist at CCP, working on Ambulation. The video takes us through the process of character creation in a really detailed manner. Very promising guys!

This sounds like it'll give parts of EVE a little more of the feel of Second Life, which I can readily appreciate. Looking forward to taking a little stroll...
