Cinemassively: Flashdance SL

I was sort of hoping to see some of the dances from Flashdance. Instead it was just random dances and a strip tease chair animation used. Very disappointed.

I don't know if it's so much a "recreation" as it is a really cool "tribute" to the movie itself. Who really cares if she doesn't do the unrealistic leaps across the entire audition room or you don't see the "Maniac" moves portrayed in the film? (Jennifer Beals didn't even do her own dancing! Send in the Stunt Dancer!) I thought it was fun and had some great effects.

Also, it was also a bit painful for me to realize this movie is now 25 years old. Gah!

I don't take to view many of the videos posted to Massively, but I did with this one and was surprised to find about 5-10 seconds of footage taken in one of my own builds.

I don't begrudge the fact that the 'actual' Flashdance wasn't used - that's a difficult one to reproduce without actual motion capture, and fairly lengthy. The main build for the dance studio was pretty well done and the editing was convincing.

Overall, cool video! Well put together.
