EVE university is probably a good idea. When I tried EVE with goonswarm I just got ships and money thrown at me. I still have no clue what the thousands of menus do. WoW, much much much much much less complex. I dare say nothing is as complex as EVE is.

for me eve is a more society based game anyway. The old teach the young in exchange for obedience. And because of this very tight knit groups can form. Eve university is simply the public school system of eve.( no offense to public schools or EVE university)

Wow has the best tutorial quests I have ever seen and the game can be played from beggining to end without asking for help. Nice as this is it allows a player to never develop (virtual) social skills.
