Thats incorrect (and not what I said). The $3M is not for the developer, that is for NASA's own costs (see gamecyte.com interview with NASA http://www.gamecyte.com/2008/04/23/nasa-asking-for-free-mmo-hardly/906 ). So, the budget is still there, just not for funding the developer directly.

Thanks for mentioning my post. It seems that the real story is starting to come out. There are still plenty of challenges ahead for the NASA project to be a success, but the potential is definitely there.

I think most people who attended left at a pace to report, booze, or complain in the corridors and with the one-to-one contacts.
If they had bothered to attend the afternoon session they could have taken notes of what is actually being offered.
Playing Orwellian Pigs and squealing because their troughs will be empty when they have been used to it being overflowing.
Wake up! we are in the digital age; things can be done more efficiently and faster than the old analog days.
