There just comes a time in every mechanaught's life when he needs a change. Whether it's a part upgrade or a full-blown makeover, we think we might just have the answer you've been looking for if you're an Exteel
player in search of greener pastures, or wherever mechs graze.
According to a recent NCsoft
dev letter, the Frontliner
is a prime choice if you're ready to make that leap from the Pinkett
. It features several new offensive and defensive weapon choices to defeat your opponent. Plus it introduces players to the durability rating, which basically means you'll need to keep an eye on the status of your mech a little more-closely in order to repair at regular intervals.
This dev letter also tells us a bit more about three PvP modes: Practice Mode, Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch. In Practice Mode, it does just that; lets you experiment with your weapons and set-up without the pressure of battling another live player.
In Deathmatch, you take the traditional kill-or-be-killed to another level. Up to 16 players battle it out in a free-for-all where healing isn't invited. Then in Team Deathmatch, it's the same principle, but with players assembling in teams to annihilate the enemies.
Either way you cut it, these mech-a-licious PvP battles are sure to more intense than you're used to in a free-to-play MMO, especially with your new upgraded digs!
