Another strike against AoC. I'd be interested to learn why most launch RP (official or unofficial) servers are the most crowded, if "person afraid to use his/her real name" says their numbers are so small.

The truth is, they just don't want to have to police the RP aspect, and honestly I can't blame them for that. But hiding behind a BS reason (not enough players) doesn't engender confidence in the company or the product.

And what's up with people involved with marketing and supporting MMOs using handles, too? If it were any other product and the person representing it hid behind a pseudonym, people who be suspicious as heck.

I guess gaming will never grow up.

not a strike, the rp community that wants only pve is VERY small. The fact is that wanting a carebear environment for rp is not real rp, and is NOT a tradition. It was only made with wow, traditional rp is much more free than just about any mmo on the market.

Having zero threat of death is just about the worst roleplaying experience imaginable.

I don't think funcom will lose much sleep over the 10 ren fair people wanting a carebear playground.
