It's kind of a side tangent, but it hit me in the chest. Why isn't Planetside considered an MMO by some people? It's not an MMORPG, sure, but just because it doesn't have NPCs or mobs doesn't mean it isn't an MMO. The world is persistent, the characters are persistent and even earn XP and level up, there are guilds (outfits) and groups (squads). I think its hybrid nature is what's killing that game, since it doesn't appeal to any particular market.

Back on subject, though, I'd like to see more things like the Rigger used in games. Didn't some other MMO have a floating eyeball you could pilot around? I want to say it was EQ, but I just can't recall.

As far as pet classes go... maybe massively could do an exposé on pets and their differences between a few mmo's =) I've always loved pet classes because they usually require a bit more attentive micromanagement.
