Both Warhammer Online and Age of Conan have a pretty big focus on the player vs player gameplay -- with their own unique twists. So we thought it would be interesting to see which of the two titles you -- our readers -- would want more strictly in terms of PvP content.
Do you want the controlled chaos that is WAR's RvR system, coupled with its instanced scenarios and open world PvP combat? If not, then maybe the player-controlled Border Kingdoms system where victory means your very own city to rule over in AoC is what you're after. Both games will certainly have PvP servers, where death is hiding behind every rock, tree and level 9 bear -- but which is the one for you?

Without LOOT they are both carebear and no different than WoW PvP..no risk no reward = the suck.
Will ANY developer please grow a SET and give the hard core PvP'ers something worth playing...
The games out/coming out are nothing but PvE gerbal cage grinders...

PLEASE
I played on PVP servers in EQ(including the hardcore, lose all items and go back to lvl 1 "Discord" server), EQ2, and WoW. 2 of those 3 games had item loot when I played, and guess out of those three which had the best PVP?
The fact is people dont give a shit about getting some random item from a player who was running around killing bears and pigs. Most of the time the items you receive are worthless anyways. Even when you do get something useful/valuable, its still a worthless system without any content for PVPers to do. You either run to "hot spots" where people go to exp or you just wander around aimlessly looking for soloers. That is not fucking fun, Im sick and tired of that and I refuse to play any other game in PVP without them specifically designing content for it.(such as both AoC and WAR are doing)
So please, nobody gives a shit about you not liking these games because of some pathetic loot system in pvp that doesnt add much fun factor to the game as compared to the devs spending hours and hours designing content for us to do in pvp. If they removed their PVP content in favor of a retarded, pointless loot system I would never even give the game a chance.
No more PVP without content for me. Its just too boring.

Honestly, play EVE. You want hardcore, that's pretty hardcore. Nothing more fun than losing your ship and 10 times its value in fittings. In EVE fights you shake.
Now I always thought I wanted to be that type of super-hardcore PvP player, and really I do sometimes. But other nights losing all my crap and hours upon hours of work is beyond irritating. I loved DAoC (except the bugs that killed it for me, and later the population loss), and I think I'll love WAR. I honestly don't care for how they have so many scenarios, but it may be better than I thought.
Conan looks like EVE PvP without the risk, so my vote is for WAR. Realm Ranks and the powers that come with them are a great reward, even if there is little risk.

Which is half the reason I quit. I eventually hit the wall of only having 1 month+ skills to do. At which point the game was no longer fun because it didn't matter how much I played, I never got any better.
But the fact still remains that its pvp-wise, its exactly the game BigCountry is looking for, provided he digs the sci-fi.
