I keep thinking to myself that I'll eventually try out Tabula Rasa again once the turbulence dies down and I start hearing positive feedback start coming out of the game, but it still hasn't shifted in that direction. I think this is one game I might miss altogether, like SWG.

It's a shame. I am a fan of sci-fi.

I'm loving the game, warts and all. It has some issues but the core gameplay is a blast and the combat feels fast and fun - versus hitting "attack" and waiting for the mob to die. The game really needs some surrounding layers to accompany the core, like, imho, a customizable UI, vehicles, a better variety of armor/weapons but again they have the combat part down and to me that is the most important part of an mmog. Because the other stuff can be bolted on as time goes by.

If the game can survive thru the launch of Age of Conan, Warhammer Online and the next WoW expansion - and given another year to bake it will be a solid, solid sci-fi mmog.
