I had hoped it would go in the direction of EVE

as for me, I imagined simulative controls 100%... instead it's the same old junk with different interface and looks, like Tabula Shitsa, Pirates of the shitting sea, Warcraft disguised into weird and stupid combat mechanics.

MMo's are defunct

No offense to Jennie Lees (or, by proxy, Gylfi), but it really seems to me like this is a case of picking the wrong person for play-testing and conveying of early impressions. Players that at least enjoy (and don't get motion sickness from) games like Descent, X-wing, Freelancer, and even EVE in addition to their existing Jumpgate fanbase are the target audience for NetDevil's efforts here - not WoW players.

This article does have merit in that it steers away those who would get motion sickness from trying out JGE, but those readers likely could have done that for themselves by reading up on JGE's game mechanics before trying it out and forgone reading this mostly-useless submission. I've been following JGE's development for a while now, and they're still in the stages of engine and mechanics polish. The quality of their storyline and content are far from ready for public scrutiny, so writing an article about anything other than flight dynamics and fluid graphics quality is, well... *shrugs*

For JGE I think they should really focus on dragging in the hardcore flight sim crowd and really just focus on dominating that niche. They might be able to pull in a few that were disillusioned with EVE's slow pace as well.

I was sort of disappointed that the article here was such a negative tone for a game in early alpha stages. But I guess they did show you a demo and you didnt enjoy it. But it seemed too me you had problems with using your "player skill" to pilot a character and the experience was very jarring for you since there was no auto-attack to help you
