While I'm not under the delusion that PC gaming is without its flaws, I have to take issue with a couple points here.

You can buy exceptionally good graphics cards for $170-200. Some of the best cards on the market today fall into that category, like the the GeForce 8800GT or the Radeon HD 3870/3850, both of which come with 512MB of RAM.

Also, SLI/Crossfire has always been a fringe enthusiast thing. I don't think we can say it makes a meaningful impact on people suffering under integrated graphics. Those people have trouble running the games at *all*; the least of their worries are running smoothly in DX10 at 2560x1600 resolutions with Ultra High settings and AA cranked as high as it will go.
