Is this a "PayPerPost" article or something?

I don't see the point aside from trying to drive traffic to Acclaim?

It's called giving people information about options. It might not be something you want to do, but other people might think it's worth a look.

This isn't only news that interests you after all, but does reflect a different mechanism for the MMO industry and might be an indicator of future directions for some developers as well as some players.

What options are you giving us information about? Acclaim is going to have micropayments? Don't they already for their F2P MMOs? Don't almost all MMOs have some kind of micropayment/cash store already set up? I don't understand what is "news" here, which is why I erroneously thought it was a paid post. My apologies for that.

And I'm not getting the connection between micro-payments and how long it takes to play a game. Are you talking about some new kind of micropayment where I pay $2 and can play for 2 hours? If so, you didn't make that clear in the post.

I'm not sure where you got the idea that I am or am not interested in micropayments. I never indicated what I was or wasn't interested in. I was just alarmed at the idea that Massively bloggers were possibly getting paid to post about a particular company/product.
