Just recently, an "acquaintance" in FFXI had his account hacked - presumably by someone who really disliked him with a key logger. He had all his "hard work" (possible gil buyer!) tossed away not only once, but twice in the form of the katana relic, Kikoku.
In Second Life, another friend is about to have her business snatched from her because she ran afoul of someone who was less-than-stellar in that he ripped a lot of her textures and is threatening to pass them out. Even worse, he claims to have her real life info. Whether or not that is true doesn't matter.. we shouldn't live in fear, but there are two sides to every argument, minimum. Just because someone is acting like a douche doesn't mean we should automatically turn the other cheek and offer them a sunny smile.
