Am I the only one who heard the needle scratch across the record in my head and said "whaaaat?" at that name? hehe

You'd be surprised how often bands reuse the same chord/note progressions, actually. The reason this one is notable to me is the fact that someone's gone through the trouble to sync tempo on the two tracks, which is what is making it flow that well.

I'd be curious to get a hold of the two songs (because I admit I own precisely zero Nickelback albums, having been completely blasted with them on repeat at a previous job) and see if the tempo really matches between the two songs exactly as they were released, or if someone did a bit of fudging to get that sync.

This ought to be good; heaven knows some of these bands are popular enough. But I agree, Nickelback kinda doesn't fit here. They couldn't have got Nightwish instead?
