Just goes to prove what we already know; getting a game to market is hard enough, getting a game to market whilst making it both good and profitable is very hard indeed.

TR isn't bad by any means, but I can't see it ever dragging in decent subscriber numbers now.

180 into the projected 16 million and you get 88 thousand users.

Ignoring that, for now, we're talking projections, that's not as bad as you're making out. That's comparable to early Asheron's Call, Sims Online, or DDO, and significantly better than Planetside, Anarchy Online, or Everquest Adventures Online. It's not what I'd consider vastly successful, like City of Heroes or LotRO, but it's just as equally not that much of a flop as MxO or Fury.

If Tabula Rasa could keep that population for a year or two, it'd probably be worthwhile for NCSoft simply for the churn principle; people getting bored of WoW or LoTRO heading in.

Now that, of course, is the issue, as TR doesn't have enough end-game to keep people entertained, and not enough content for it to be worthwhile to replay, but it's not the number of current people that're the issue.
