I am glad Koster is still in the industry. That's exactly the voice that needs to be expressed if we're to see bigger and better things someday.

I heavily dislike the word Metaverse ... just makes me cringe just like the web 2.0 usually followed by multiple exclamation marks.

I think Raph's time is pretty much over, he's not done anything of note since the inception of Everquest, and even then his mind wasn't the driving force behind it. Just like Richard Garriot who's only claim to faim is to have started Ultima Series and have a failed abysmal MMO out.

I think it's time to kick the old dogs out and give a new fresh perspective on what the newer generation want in something Massively Multiplayer.

Lets see what happens with Areae before we start calling Raph a dinosaur ;)

I think he has a great insight into the industry but I don't always understand what he's trying to say, as with this article.
