I question whether this will do well. As described, it's pretty clear that the target market is the younger player. But the price barrier-to-entry on a PS3 title is the console itself. Until the PS3 more fiscally available to those younger players, they really are aiming at a market that doesn't exist (yet). I have a PS3 and so do most of my friends, but we are all in our late 30s and low 40s. We aren't going to be looking for a "kiddie" MMO, we want a REAL MMO on the console!! And grabbing the kids of players like me might be a viable market, but how many of those parents are going to actually pay out micro-transactions for a game they don't play themselves? I suspect most will fall squarely on the "free play" side of the pay-or-don't-pay line.
