stealthed mobs, those things that come out of the ground, those things that phase in and out of dimensions. Stuff that spawns from chests/quest items. There's tons of that sort of thing.

One thing about most MMOGs that's bothered me is the static mob/spawn. You *always* know where it's going to spawn, and you *always* know how close you can get before it notices you. Why not let a creature spawn anywhere in a specified area instead of a specific spot? Why not give them variable stats, which can affect how much damage they do or how soon they notice you're there? These are two simple changes that can make a significant difference, and they should be easy to implement even with the very basic engines that current MMOGs run on.

Obviously you've never been playing a game and have a wandering mob stop by with an axe, or had a creature respawn on top of you, or had a stealthed creature attack you, or ... you know, I'm not entirely sure what you're asking for that isn't already there.
