Sound likes a good news.... I wonder if it means we could get more groups over 25 limit? I knew they had to give group limit because of IM may flood over the bandwidth for each users.

I'd like to see some of these changes. The unexpected IM's can be a major pita.

Bless you, Linden Labs! I love this change. I belong to one group that has fought the misuse of group IMs for a very long time. Maybe we can not re-open the group membership rolls. Shutting it down was our last, desperate measure to keep from spamming over 3000 members with idle messages like "Wanna get naked?".

instead of specifying groups to automatically open on log in, why not just specify groups that will open if someone says something (instead of having all those tabs open all the time even when theres no chatter).

in fact it would probably work better via an opt-out option.
the group opening when someone says something should be the default option, as this would facilitate community building.
