I seriously doubt this. Many MMO's seem to be Hell bent on controlling information that is disseminated to the point of hysterical absurdity. They honestly believe that if they don't confirm it...it didn't happen. If they said it...it did happen. For some reason they feel that they are the only sources of news about their game and it is only discussed on their official site and forums.

In short: they're retarded.

In as much as I love Blizzard, they suffer from the same delusions. How large companies whose very foundations are built on the internet can't grasp that they are NOT the oracles of truth is just...well, it's mind blowing. The tighter a grip they go for the more desperate they look. Maybe SoE will try this whole "truth" thing out and maybe it will work for them. And maybe it will scare them and they'll go back to being evasive, nonexistent, or downright abusive to their player-base.
