I was a fan of the non-mmo diablo 2. You have a list of games to join, and based on the title can decide if its the one for you. It promoted grouping in such a fundamental way that no MMO has come close to yet. There's a reason why MMOs have mostly single-player content, they just don't force grouping at such a fundamental level like diablo 2 did.

Frigging companies should hire someone like me to smack around the buzz words and show the truth, but they see new+money and just want to copy the last guy to make a profit.

Some strong MMOs from some strong companies coming up. I can't really express how excited I am about our game at 38 Studios. Yeah, we've delighted in not telling you much about our game, but we've all been part of the development of enough games to realize that too much too soon is never a good thing. Also, I'm the guy on the left hand couch (I'm the one on the right with the hat sitting next to a freakin' genius programmer).
