Desperately needed, but not just for founders. The sheer amount of travel time needed to level solo in the 25-35 level range (which means shuttling back and forth between zones on the opposite side of Eriador, since every quest chain ends in group content, some sooner rather than later) was so painful that I barely made it through once. Any argument that faster travel breaks immersion goes out the window if some players can be allowed mounts at that level, not that immersion was a credible point in the first place since Hunters are allowed instant teleportation to pretty much every single town and quest hub in the game.

This seems to be restricted to the US subscribers so we still wait to see if something is offered to Europeans!

Well as for the bree horse gift, Turbine basically alienated there non-founders/non-lifer timers by giving away a game altering "gift" to only a select group of players. Their monthly subscribers get nothing, zilch. Too bad in a few months down the road, when the revenue from the founders and lifers drops off because most of it was one lump sum, the alienated and undervalued monthly subscribers will have left. But nobody said you had to have good business sense to run a business.

I agree - I've worked like a Trojan (and almost got divorced) for the amount of time and effort it took me to get to level 35. Why is the monthly subscription any less valuable than the up front cash paid by founders - this is their cash flow we are talking about. Its about time we levelled the playing field !! No fair ! I think if pre-level 35 steeds are going to be handed out then it should be as a reward for a quest or deed !!
