I'd disregard it as nothing more than anti-gaming trash. If it weren't for online gaming, my best friend whom I've known for the past eight years and I would have stopped talking ages ago. We live on different coasts and only get to see each other once a year. If it weren't for WoW, we probably wouldn't still be in touch. I have all the respect in the world for online game developers.

Given as part of trying to trash virtual worlds he also tries to trash the last 40 years or so of humanities academia you have to wonder just what he wants from life. If he was a British politician or adviser you'd expect to comments like "a return to family values" and the like plastered all over this. As it is, he seems to add a third group to the Digital Native/Digital Migrant demographic. Despite the fact he seems to have managed to find a blog to espouse his language, he strikes me as a Digital Xenophobe.
