Well, after seeing a dozen of videos, gathered some info, and saw alot of fan sites, i'm really decided to buy this game as soon as it comes out, playing WoW atm, but quite fed up with it, and WAR and AOC seems just not the typical MMORPG i like..

Aoe on the other hand seems just perfect.. amagad GIEF FAST AOEN!

and responding to the question, i dont mind at all going up to 20 euros (aprox 30 dollars) for a monthly fee, however i feel that it shouldn't pass the 10 euros.

Being free i disagree for the sole effect, that by being free, the game will have much less content, variety and quality.

It certainly is a very pretty game. I'll give them that. But I don't know if it actually has any substance other than grinding.

This is clearly the real Markymark? I bet your pecks so muscular they can kill random bystanders when you brush up against them. Anyhow, I need stellar muscular pecks too, what's your secret? I'm kidding, but I bet you didn't even get the Wings of the Goddess expansion registered until yesterday.

It's supposedly being developed with the western market in mind and making a conscious effort not to be a grinding based game. (we'll see if its true)

Obviously it's still in development, but the current gripes seem to be a lack of solo play past the late teens, and unpolished flight mechanics.

I plan to play this and WAR. If either game is a let down, the other simply gets my full attention =)

I hope it's true. I avoided bashing Korean based MMOs on this assumption. :p Late teens eh. What's the level cap?

I hope there is truth to that.. There's a severe lack of party required MMOs. None of the game designers have figured out that if you force grouping then finding a group will be easy (with the right interface, people will come) and everyone will be good at grouping by the time endgame comes.

These summoner videos remind me of the theurgist class in DAoC where you spawn tons of tiny little elementals to run at your opponent and fight until they burn out. Loved that =)

Nice reference in the pic, but I doubt that very many of your readers have been witness to such Roman shenanigans. A pity, really.

Aion is the *only* game i'm looking forward to. i was hoping it would be f2p like the korean version, but i'm willing to pay a subscription for it.

AoC will go the way of Vanguard, WAR the way of TR (so one failure and one niche from two big-budget productions); neither appeal to me at all; Aion, on the other hand, pushes *all* my buttonss

I swear they better not charge for this game...it looks great yeah but having to pay £8 - £10 per month in the long run is a turn off. Funnily enough If you compare the internal game environment, its not too disimiliar to Archlord...which was a huge flop to say the least, however their gaming environments were relatively breath taking. Aion's environments are currently the best Ive seen in any MMORPG I've seen, lets hope their subscription "ideas" won't put people off (Hellgate incident)

The things I'm looking forward to in this game (CCi):

CRAFTING UO days...everyone could do crafting and everyone loved it.

CUSTOMISATION Goes without saying...Would be nice if chars appearances could be changed later on in game eg hair styles etc.

INTERACTIVITY (a decent chat system - unlike Hellgate London's ridiculous interface...Guildwars chat system is flawless).

If...NCsoft decided to go with a singular fee akin to Guildwars, we could finally be looking at a game which may have the capacity to DeThrone WoW once and for all.

Why? because the game has the graphics edge no doubt, and the ability to fly and fight? I'm impressed. The thing that most game companies are getting incorrect in their surveys is that for the younger generation, they have free ample time to play whereas if your looking at the other side of the scale 18+ people barely have the time to play let alone dedicate £10 - $19 a month to play for a few short hours a week.

All in all this game looks like a winning christmas stocking filler for Christmas 2008!...Until then ...I will have to resort to crappy Hellgate which hasn't delivered at all.
