CCP just released this two-minute trailer for EVE Online's upcoming Trinity expansion. It's a longer and cooler trailer than the one that was shown at the Fanfest in Reykjavik. Trinity is adding a lot of things, but one of the most significant is a major graphics update, and that's what this trailer focuses on.
The new shader effects are very impressive, especially when they're exhibited with such epic music. It looks like EVE is reclaiming its crown as the best-looking MMO on the market. While it's easier to make spaceships and planets look realistic and amazing than it is to make humanoids look convincing, the new EVE visuals are still awesome.
Assuming nothing goes wrong, Trinity will go live next week.
[EDIT: GameTrailers has posted the trailer in HD. Commence drooling.]

Sweet music, nice video. Too bad I don't have the time to play again.

Looks beautiful. And yeah, without all the moving parts and thousands of unique pieces of gear and all the rest, they do have a leg up and can make things look like... well... like they do.
Now if I can convince them to make skills go up faster through use and not just based on time, I'll be an uber EVE geek for a long time to come.

The 30s teaser vid was enough to make me glad i started playing 2 years ago, the full length trailer made me... well... yeah.
words dont describe how awesome this is and how excited I am to see it. Let's hope it doesnt get pushed back. I might just have to fly to Iceland if it does.

Looks good... But not a player of the game. Takes to long for anything to happen and I'm only getting older.

Yeah. Definitely very stunning. Too bad the game mechanics make the game nearly unplayable unless you've been at it for 2+ years or have hundreds of dollars to spend on a character and ISK.
