Yet, I wonder how this would work?

Would PC and console users be able to play together, or will it be like Team Fortress 2 or what have you, where they are separate altogether?

I'm all for this but it makes me wonder how they would pull it off and if it would be worth the effort.

While Blizzard is my Hero for denying the consoles and giving the PC much love, I think they're also foolish if they deny the profit power of consoles.

An Exciting Alternative: But you don't have to exclude consoles from gameplay! I would think that you could mix console and PC gameplay in an exciting manner. For instance, certain characters or playable beasts could be playable only from a console where it makes sense for them to interact with the game world through a handheld controller instead of a keyboard and mouse.

So to facilitate this, you build a stripped down version of your game client that can be easily played on a console with very limited game interaction, and then use it to entice players to buy the PC version of the MMO as well!

So you see, there are some really cool and interesting things you can do in console space that makes even PC-based MMO's attractive to console players, and everybody can have fun.

Thats an interesting idea, with the craze over downloadable content right now I think it would work well. Definitely a different approach to gaming, and different = hype.
