I think you're correct. Blizzard/Vivendi likes to spin the numbers including China and it's telling that they're not so eager to release figures about other markets.

Nevertheless, even the slowly dwindling North American and European subscriber base is still several times larger than the nearest competitors such as Lord of the Rings Online or EVE Online.

World of Warcraft won't be on top forever, but I think it will be a while yet before it goes to the backburner, don't you?
