Yeah, he says he's always been a fan of technology, which is true. He did a lot of work with synthesizers in the 70s and 80s, and was among the early adopters for such monster music machines as the Synclavier and Fairlight.

I make electronic music myself, and I wish I had the skills to properly remix one of his songs, but really, I know I couldn't do his work justice. It'll be interesting to see what comes of this, though!

I only caught news of it a short while ago myself (on a smallish European blog, iirc). Then noticed it pop up on the SL website. Been wondering why there's been so little mention of it on my usual surfturf. HH in virtual worlds does seem to be a pretty good fit.

I just heard about this too, in passing, at a live music event in Second Life this past Saturday. Hancock is the type of innovator that is perfect for SL! :)
