While SL machinima is kinda lacking in graphical ability and emotion I guess I can give it props for being able to recreate real life in avatars and settings alot easier than fantasy or sci-fi fare can.

Ghen - yes, exactly. that is entirely the crux of the issue.

SL has been built entirely by its residents, most of whom are amateur artists/developers. and that's why it looks rough.

if you look in the right places, you can find the work of pros. and then you quickly realize the only thing restraining SL is participation.

for an example, check out:

That was impressive! Those theatrical animations were so realistic. Great editing too. Another leap ahead for SL machinima.

Hi! I'm the lyricist on the project and i'm really flattered that our video was posted here -- thanks for the link! We sorta had to learn as we went; we weren't Second Life experts by any means but we had a blast and we're gonna do another song from the show, and I was wondering if I could maybe tap into your knowledge? : )

The next song is a song where she's referencing things out of literature (The Eloi, Hades, Jurgis from The Jungle, etc) - and i don't just want soft lens pans on books. I guess what i'm asking is, if anyone is knowledgable about location managment in SL and has a yen to be credited in the next video, i'd love to talk to you! (deusse at aol dot com :) And thanks again for the interest. It was a really fun project. :)
